Images spark story telling and deeper discussion

Last week, The McCombs School of Business Development and External Relations Department and the University of Texas, held a Team Building Retreat.  It was a blast to facilitate and engage this group.

In addition to graphic facilitation, we used images from VisualsSpeak to get each participant engaged. It is really cool to watch how the images draw the stories out of people.  One of the biggest “Ah Has” that kept coming up last week, was perspective. MicroAssist is excited to welcome back Allison Crow of Crow Hill Conversations to our classroom! Her workshops at E-Learning Symposium were so popular that we’ve opened another session. The morning will cover the basics of Visual Thinking, and the afternoon will delve deeper into involved learning and push and pull visual thinking methods.

The Power of VISUALS

This week I had the opportunity to present at the 2011 Austin E-Learning Symposium -using visuals (of course).  The over all theme was opening the minds and spirits of people for more meaningful learning. This proverb was the subtitle to my presentation, and I noticed it also surfaced with another presenter!

This gets me COMPLETELY Jazzed! One of the concepts that I heart the most, is, this: is

VISUAL + AUDITORY + KINESTHETIC = INVOLVED!
