When I was about 12, I would mow the yard at my home for ONE reason….that someone would drive by and see a GIRL moving the yard….and that I would be discovered for being special.
Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being discovered, or chosen for something fabulous out of the blue? Who hasn’t dreamed of being some kind of superstar– entertainment, sports, career, moving the yard? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Last week, The McCombs School of Business Development and External Relations Department and the University of Texas, held a Team Building Retreat. It was a blast to facilitate and engage this group.
In addition to graphic facilitation, we used images from VisualsSpeak to get each participant engaged. It is really cool to watch how the images draw the stories out of people. One of the biggest “Ah Has” that kept coming up last week, was perspective. As someone would see and tell a story about an image, others would realize how differently they saw the exact same image. Welcome summer sun and fun! The turn of the season not only brought 100 degree temperatures to Austin, where I live….it also brought some professional changes to Crow Hill.
