In coaching, or in facilitation, one of the ways to get clients engaged is to use visual thinking template tools. Many adults are drawn to visual work, and yet loudly hear the inner critic that says, “YOU CAN’T DRAW.” (I believe you can…and that message will be for another post).
Fortunately, most adults aren’t afraid of working with a template. Templates allow for the creativity and process with out the clients having to originate the context! Graphic recording on the ipad….again. Here it is, the weekend and i’ve doodled on my ipad off and on all day. I have to give credit to Rachel Smith, whose video posted below I came across last fall.
I use the brushes app and sketchbook pro with a Boxwave stylus. Sometimes I use Notes plus. Rachel does a great job briefly explaining what graphic recording is and the pros and cons of using the ipad. I had the opportunity this last week to hone my graphic recording skills on the ipad and this post will share some of the process, apps and info about the process of creating these live visual recordings.
I was at the Keller Williams Realty National Convention (called Family Reunion) in Anaheim California – a MECCA for juicy content).
